Who We Are
Church of the Redeemer is the spiritual home of an Episcopal community that cherishes diversity (racial, economic, and sexual), strives to embrace the stranger, reaches out and reaches in—not only feeding the hungry, but also nourishing one another with the warm friendship and faith that supports spiritual growth.
Worship is at the heart of Redeemer’s life.
We take the Bible seriously, not literally. We take the spirit of our worship into the larger community, with faith that God works in us and through us. We draw on our own Biblical tradition incorporating reason and curiosity, and are happy to join together for action, discussion and prayer with people of other faiths and traditions. We invite you to join us on our spiritual journey.
We are a Christian community that:
- Loves without judgment.
- Affirms, celebrates and includes all people, without discrimination.
- Celebrates our beliefs through the liturgy, sacraments, and music.
- Commits to peace and justice.
- Offers a spiritual home for healing, renewal, and service.
