First Friday Concert Series: Pittsburgh Composers

Our popular First Friday Concert Series resumes with our first concert of 2019 on February 1st from 12:00-1:00 pm.

This program features a tribute to Pittsburgh composer, Joseph Willcox Jenkins who taught for over 40 years at Duquesne University and was organist at Rodef Shalom. Former students will speak about his legacy as a composer and teacher and will play works by him and dedicated to him. Join us for an exciting hour and talk by former students and colleagues Ann Labounsky, Kenneth Danchik, Joyce Moon Strobel, George Pearsall, Robert Luft from Florida, and Benjamin Cornelius-Bates.
