Great Issues Forum: What’s Happening in the American Justice System

Monday, November 13, 2017 from 7:00–8:30pm at the Church of the Redeemer

Church of the Redeemer, Squirrel Hill, continues our annual Great Issues Forum centering on Race in Pittsburgh.  We hope to offer a fact-based, multi-perspective consideration of controversial topics in order to promote civil discussion and encourage members of the greater community to action.  The first forum of the fall will be held on Monday, November 13th and will focus on What’s Happening in the American Justice System.  Larry Davis (Dean, School of Social Work and Director, Center on Race and Social Problems, University of Pittsburgh), Alfred Blumstein (Professor of Urban Systems and Operations Research at the Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon), David Harris (Professor at University of Pittsburgh Law School), and Celeste Taylor (Voting Rights Advocate) will speak.  The dialogue will take place from 7-8:30pm at Church of the Redeemer, followed by refreshments in the parish hall.
